This beautiful bride was one of my senior models a few years ago, and now she is MARRIED! I love all my seniors so much, so when I get asked to be a part of such special occasions, I’m not only honored, but totally filled with emotion. It’s not uncommon to see me crying as I’m snapping away behind the camera!
Ashley and Mackae were high school sweethearts, and the first time she introduced him to me was during her senior session. He’s always been super sweet on Ashley, and I remember thinking back then, that I hope she keeps a hold of him because I could tell he would be a great life partner. Over the years I’ve seen them grow closer, and learn to take care of each other. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness, love coming into full bloom. I got to witness that sweetness for the first time when I photographed their Engagement Session, and I cried right along Ashley’s momma the day we photographed their first look and Bridal Session too.
Ashley and Mackae chose to host their wedding at a special place- Ashley’s grandparent’s little orchard. Ashley lost both her grandparents this past year, and it was a wonderful way to keep their memory alive on her wedding day. Though it was the very end of November, her grandma’s roses were in full bloom, and producing a beautiful peachy pink that seemed to be meant just for the occasion.
Ashley also lost her father several years ago, and so she asked her uncle to do the honor of walking her down the aisle. It was quite a special moment, and there many tears flowing as he gave her away to Mackae.
Mackae and Ashley treated their guests to a delicious Mexican dinner catered by members of Mackae’s family. Ashley’s Aunt made their cake which was full of such beautiful detail, and guests enjoyed Jenn Totten’s famous cakeballs for dessert. After dinner came the shoe game, and if you don’t know what that is, you should look it up! It’s so much fun!
The first dance looked magical under all the little twinkle lights that illuminated the orchard, and it was tender moments all over again when Mackae danced with his mom, and Ashley with her Uncle. for the mother/son and father/daughter dances. Soon after, everyone was having a blast dancing to all the great music DJ Tayna was playing, and it was so much fun capturing everyone having such a great time!
This wedding was such a labor of love for Ashley and Mackae, I know just how much work and planning went into it, and it turned out so lovely! I’m so excited for these two to start their lives together. They make such a great team already, and I can’t wait to see all the awesome things they do together as husband and wife!
Ashley and Mackae, thank you SO much for making me a part of your day. From the engagments up to the wedding day, I feel so grateful to be a part of it all! I love you two!
