On June 24th, these two beautiful people were sealed for Time and All Eternity in the majestic Portland Oregon Temple. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and love was definitely in the air. On this day, two families really did become one. The amount of work, and love that it took to put on a wedding for two people who’s individual families live in completely different states, was something amazing to witness. Everyone came together, family, friends, and community members, to help make their day perfect, and it was.
The day started out early with everyone getting ready for the big event. Per the bride’s request, we did a little father/daughter “first look”, since her dad had not yet seen her in her dress. It was such a fun moment to capture.
Then it was time to head to the Temple. A grand, marble building that seemed to sit right in the middle of a forest, was such a magical setting to a perfect day. Family and friends gathered around the doors, eagerly awaiting the new Mr & Mrs Sork to walk out as husband and wife. You can see all the wonderfulness in action by clicking here and watching this awesome video of their day by the amazing videographer Ms Autumn Shipp.
Next it was off to the reception. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a church hall look so beautiful! White draping fabrics and twinkle lights transformed the room into something fabulous! Austin and Dani danced to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” for their first dance, and there were lots of tears during the Father/daughter and Mother/son dances. After an evening of dancing, they had the cutest sparkler sendoff to conclude their day.
Less than two weeks later, they got to do almost all of it again! They traveled back to Nevada where Dani’s family lives, and her family hosted an open house for all their family and friends that couldn’t travel to Portland for the wedding day. I was wow’d all over again by the amazing setting and decorations. All the beautiful floral arrangements were made by Dani’s mom’s business- The Front Porch Flowers, and her cake (as well as the cake from her Portland reception) was made by her super talented Aunt Kathy. Between both the reception and the open house, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much talent in one wedding!
With the support of such a loving combined family, I know these two will share an amazing life together. I can’t wait to see all the places they go together, and all the adventures they share. Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your Forever Day guys. I love you!
